Our Student to Teacher Ratio will be 45 to 1

After our district demanded cuts last week, our campus is looking at a skeletal staff with class sizes reaching into the 40's...I have a daughter that attends this school and I am so concerned as a parent how this will affect her education...this is about the students...I am thankful I have a job at this campus..it is a GREAT school!  But, I am terrified how all of this will play out next year with sscuh large class sizes and barely enough teachers to go around..  What can we do????????  I have started praying about it..I have quit trying to understand the legislative end of it all..  We all feel so helpless...

Just added a great thematic unit on Bubbles that includes Math, Science,Art, and Literacy Activities!!!  This would be a great thing to do to end the year and a nice resource to have when you  need something easy and engaging to do with your students!!!

What's In The Bag? Engagement Activity 4 ANY LESSON or Grade!!!

Just created this too cute engagement activity you can use for any lesson or grade level!  It centers around the teacher placing something in the bag that has something to do with whatever the "topic of interest" may be..( a Book, Unit, Lesson, Activity..etc)  The students must go through different processes( predicting, writing, drawing, and inferencing) to figure out what is in the bag. 
My product includes  creative printables with adorable detective characters to take the students through those processes!!!  My kids love it ;))

Teacher of the Year in the Eyes of the Students!

Today I got an email from a parent that went on to tell me how much her daughter loved my class and that it was the most exciting and best part of her day..She said that teachers just dont get enough kuddos and that she felt it important !!  She said in her daughter's eyes that I was her teacher of the year...

Thats why I teach..I love being with the kids.  They MAKE my day better!!!
I love to make them laugh and feel safe while they are in my class ;)
